la matrice est encore recouverte d une legere couche de graisse qui permettre de conserver son etat et empecher loxydation

Fabrication des médailles :
Le poinçon présentant le motif en relief est trempé afin datteindre une grande dureté . Au moyen dun balancier on obtient la matrice, figurant le sujet en creux . La matrice positionnée sur une presse va marquer les médailles .

En très bon état malgré son grand âge , ce poinçon ou matrice peut servir à nouveau comme outil et intéressé quiconque souhaiterait à nouveau sen servir pour créer des médailles et/ou d autres bijoux réactualisés .
