Avery finecondition 14k gold filled hunter cased pocket watch, by the famous maker and retailer, Vertex of Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland, witha 17-jewelled RailRoad grade movement from ca.1920.
The watch recently cleaned and ooverhauled by our watch maker and comes with a two year mechanical warranty.

THE DIAL: 99% mint, thewhite enamel dial with black Roman numerals and in bright condition with no chips or hairlines and signed by Vertex. The dial with fine blue steel spade hands. Diameter is42 mm. The crystal is also in excellent condition and retained securely.
THE MOVEMENT: 100% mint, with agold coloured three quarterplate and a regulator, and blue steel screws. A cut two arm bimetallic balance, with Breguet hairspring and lever escapement. The movement overall of very good quality, with a cut-away plate. The watch ticking away on my desk as I type this, and keeping very good time for a 100 year old watch. THE CASE: 90% mint, the 14k gold filled case measures an impressive51 mm. The front and rear covers both close nice and tightly and the hinges are all in good tight order. The case marked with a case number of831xxx and signed Star, ALD Watch Case Co. Birmingham. The top cover pops open when the pendant button is depressed and fingernail light pressure, and in fine condition. The watch with light wear at high ponts on rear cover as shown and various small dings and fine scratches.
The watch comes with a new presentation box to store the watch when not in use.
